The Furniture Shop

Three years ago, our client, a national moving company, came to us with an idea. Due to shipping policies with furniture companies, they had access to a lot of new, open-box, used or refurbished furniture that would have otherwise ended up in landfills. Rather than letting it all go to waste, maybe it could be sold online somehow.

Part of the challenge was that their team was small and did not have a lot of experience with technology, which meant adding and managing their online inventory needed to be simple.

Our solution was “The Furniture Shop,” an e-commerce website with a modern brand enabling them to sell large volumes of furniture online quickly. Additionally, we implemented the necessary workflows to help them efficiently manage their inventory in less time.

Three years later, the success in their initial Calgary location leads to a recent expansion in Montreal. We added multi-language support and made a few other upgrades to the online store. It, too, was a great success with record sales. With more locations are scheduled to open in the next quarter.
